What's the catch?

We believe in providing value-first and letting your experience with us do the selling. While many schools just let you try one class and then ask you to sign up, we prefer to give you 10 calendar days to attend as many classes as possible so that you really know if the program is right for you before making a decision.

How important is fitness and athleticism?

While it's always beneficial to be in better shape, Gracie Jiu jitsu uses strategies that make use of technique, timing and leverage rather than strength and speed. Our beginner programs were developed with universal applicability in mind so that almost anyone can learn and perform the techniques we teach.

Can Martial Arts cause injury?

Injuries are all to common at most schools. The problem typically lies in the approach used. New students come in learn one technique and then they spend half their class sparring. By taking competitive sparring out of the beginner programs, we are able to ensure students develop good foundations before sparring. This keeps you safe and dramatically reduces injury rates.

What's a good age to start Gracie Jiu Jitsu Martial Arts

Practically any age is a good age to start! We have students from 3 years old up to their 70's.
